Stanford scientists have developed away to wirelessly deliver electricity to moving objects, an advance that could charge electric vehicles, smartphones and medical implants on the go. The demonstration only involved a 1MW charge, whereas electric cars often require tens of kilowatts to operate. If electric cars could recharge while driving down a highway, it would virtually eliminate concerns about their range and lower their غير مجاز مي باشدt, perhaps making electricity the standard fuel for vehicles. For safety, autonomous cars need to be in the centre of the lane where the transmitter coils would be embedded, providing very precise positioning for GPS satellites. The team transmitted electricity wirelessly to a moving LED lightbulb.

"In addition to advancing the wireless charging of vehicles and personal devices like cellphones, our new technology may untether robotics in manufacturing, which also are on the move," said Shanhui Fan, a professor at Stanford. A coil in the bottom of the vehicle could receive electricity from a series of coils connected to an electric current embedded in the road," said Fan."The hope is that you’ll be able to charge your electric car while you’re driving down the highway. The goal would be to reduce accidents and dramatically improve the flow of traffic while lowering greenhouse gas emissions."For anything that could benefit from dynamic, wireless charging, this is potentially very important," he said."We can rethink how to deliver electricity not only to our cars, but to smaller devices on or in our bodies," Fan said.

GPS is accurate custom 2 seater electric vehicle manufacturer up to about 35 feet.Wireless charging would address a major drawback of plug-in electric cars - their limited driving range.Wireless technology could also assist GPS navigation of driverless cars.Scientists at Stanford University in the US have overcome a major hurdle to such a future by wirelessly transmitting electricity to a nearby moving object."We still need to significantly increase the amount of electricity being transferred to charge electric cars, but we may not need to push the distance too much more," said Fan, lead author of the published in the journal Nature..The team is now working on greatly increasing the amount of electricity that can be transferred, and tweaking the system to extend the transfer distance and improve efficiency. Some transportation experts envision an automated highway system where driverless electric vehicles are wirelessly charged by solar power or other renewable energy sources.

The main challenge for Ola is the lack of charging stations and the limited range of vehicles given taxis travel about 150-200 km daily. In Indias Cabin scooter manufactures billion taxi market where Ola vies with ride-hailing giant Uber, the push into electric vehicles is also a way for the Indian start-up to lower thet of car ownership, once batteryts start to come down.Indian ride-hailing firm Ola, backed by Japan's Softbank Group, is preparing for a large-scale roll-out of electric vehicles by next year even as it runs trials on the viability of the business model, chief executive Bhavish Aggarwal said.Charging stations would include a battery swapping facility for some vehicles and quick recharges for others, Aggarwal said.

"We're able to leverage their (Softbank's) network and scale of operations around the world," Aggarwal said, adding that Ola was also talking to automakers globally about strategic tie-ups.Ola's push comes as sales of electric vehicles in India have remained slow, despite government incentives to curb pollution.Ola will pilot a few thousand electric vehicles in several Indian cities this year and, "after that we will be scaling it up in a major way," Aggarwal said in an interview on Friday. The company is expected to be profitable in 18-24 months, Aggarwal said. For the pilot, where infrastructure is inadequate Ola will invest in setting up charging stations but for the longer term it is talking to power and fuel companies to form partnerships."We're taking a leap of faith.

The economics are still not there so we're taking a bit of a risk," said Aggarwal, alluding to Ola's investment in the pilot.Aggarwal said for the pilot Ola was using modified versions of existing models, but its goal remained to operate a vehicle for an entire day without a recharge and it is working with automakers to co-design such vehicles. The company will also invest in setting up charging stations in the pilot cities, he said, without saying how much Ola would invest in its electrification drive.Aggarwal, however, has the backing of one of Ola's biggest investors - Softbank.India is targeting 6 million electric vehicles on the road by 2020, but high batteryts, a lack of charging stations and the limited range of the vehicles is still a deterrent.Leap of faithIn the next few weeks the first wave of electric vehicles under Ola's pilot scheme, including two-wheelers, rickshaws and cars, will roll out in the southern state of Telangana and Nagpur city in central India..In December, Softbank Group chairman Masayoshi Son said Ola may introduce one million electric vehicles in India over the next five years, according to local media reports. In the year ended March 2016, 22,000 electric vehicles were sold in India, whereas sales of conventionally fuelled vehicles crossed 20 million units in the same period.

"Our hope is that through the racing we will be able to bring technologies to our road cars. He, however, hastened to add that it is a long process and not something that would happen 4 wheel smart electric mini car Manufacturers in a year as what goes into racing cars are too expensive to come immediately to road cars. A combination of factors, such as government support and push for EVs, awareness after the success of Formula E racing and the company's own efforts to popularise would help in raising demand for such eco-friendly vehicles.

"In India there is no race (Formula E)but there is a lot of TV viewership. The company, which has bagged large orders for its electric cars from taxi aggregators in Bengaluru and the Capital, is hopeful that 2016 will mark the "taking off" for electric mobility in India riding on government support and popularisation through the world championship racing of electric cars, Formula E. Once the visibility comes in, more and more people will opt for the electric vehicles (EVs). It is a gradual thing," Mahindra & Mahindra Executive Director Pawan Goenka told PTI. I am hoping that 2016 is the year when EVs really take off in India," Goenka said.

I believe India could have a race, that will be a really good thing," Goenka said, adding that for M&M the racing series is about "a fairly large brand play with global coverage" besides all the technological learnings. New Delhi: Homegrown auto major Mahindra &Mahindra is working to apply the learnings from Formula E racing on its electric cars as it looks to ride on rising awareness for eco-friendly vehicles. In India there is no race (Formula E) but there is a lot of TV viewership. Commenting on Formula E, he said it has picked up really well globally with packed stands on race days which has also resulted in increased awareness of EVs. Bullish on the growth of electric vehicles in India, Goenka said taxi aggregators have also shown interest and the company has bagged order for 100 e20 electric car from a firm called Lithium in Bengaluru and for 50 e-Verito sedans from a separate entity. "This is slowly going to build now.

It channels energy from a lithium-ion battery and comes with its own cooling system to avoid overheating. The first thing you notice about the Tiago EV is it looks exactly the same as the standard Tiago.comAnchorAnchor. The Tiago faces its biggest competition from Mahindra Electric, the EV arm of Mahindra that has been the pioneer of EVs in India. The car churns out 200Nm of torque from an 85kW (116PS) motor while the petrol variants run on around 85PS with 114Nm of torque.

Tata claims that the car has a maximum speed of 135 kmph, and can zoom from 0 to 100kmph in about 11 seconds. Joining the pure electric fleet of cars, the Tiago EV was first showcased at the Low Carbon Vehicle Event 2017 in Millbrook. It offers a range of 100 kilometres, which is a fairly decent range if used for purely intercity commutes; though, like most EVs, it isn't custom Electric Three Wheels passenger car factory a reasonable car to take on a road trip.It would be a perfectly fair assumption to believe that the car will soon make its way across the waters to the Indian market, where the standard version has been quite popular since its launch in April 2016. One also can’t ignore Maruti’s expected presence in the market either, especially after they set up the plant in Gujarat to produce lithium-ion batteries which could potentially be used for the production of EVs in the future.

If it all works out for the Tiago EV, it will be the first EV from Tata to see the light of the day. It already has the Mahindra e-Verito and the e2o plus in the market. It receives its power from a single-speed gearbox that powers the front wheels. It weighs 1030kg as of now, which is pretty much close to most standard variants of the car. Hopefully, Tata will add some electric car thingamajigs to the final version to add some novelty. The carmaker hinted of its launch when its European Technical Centre tweeted about the Tiago EV in July. Depending on the variant an e2o travels for 110-140km on a single battery charge while the e-Verito offers 110 km.Tata Motors is looking to bring the electric version of its Tiago to India as early as possible.
